Your tour guide will greet you at CIBO restaurant on 17th Avenue SW near the corner of 9th Street. Here we’ll tour the restaurant, meet the chef and learn about the years that when into perfecting their pizza crust and toppings. Of course we’ll tuck into some too! Then it’s off to Made by Marcus Micro Creamery to taste four dreamy flavours and go behind the scenes. Next we’ll treat you to fine French macarons and tea at Ollia before we switch back to savoury goodies at a truly hidden gem – Frenchie! Finally we’ll delve into Korean-Canadian fusion delights prepared by chef Roy Oh at Anju Restaurant. All this on a leisurely five block walk through a fascinating part of town with a cool hip vibe.
Cibo Ristorante (17th ave and 9 St SW)
Two time winner of Calgary's prestigious Pig and Pinot trophy. Food like Nonna's.
Janice Beaton Fine Cheese
Since 2000, this artisanal cheese shop has raised the bar for cheese, charcuterie and all the accoutrements.
Made by Marcus Micro-Creamery
Famous for both macarons and "to die for" original ice cream flavours - we'll spend our time on the ice cream here!
Ollia Macarons and Tea
We love these macarons. They are not too sweet and melt in your mouth.
You might not find this place on your own and they open just for the guests on our tour at this time of day.
Anju means food to go with alcohol in Korean and chef Roy Oh has perfected Korean-Canadian fusions - especially the dish we'll savour together.
