Yes, we are export ready. Please inquire at info@albertafoodtours.ca and check out the travel trade section of our Alberta Food Tours website.

We recommend this tour for children over the age of 13. Younger children tend to get bored with the story telling and are distracted by everything else going on. We hope you’ll treat yourself to childcare and a little adult time. Non-alcoholic beverages are served for people under 18 years of age.

Absolutely not! Our tours combine art and architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 2 to 3-hour experience. Imagine walking through Calgary eating our local artisans most delicious foods while learning the neighbuorhoods from real locals.

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, celiac, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can usually accommodate your needs. With humble apologies – most of our tours are not suited to a purely vegan diet.

To maximize your chances of getting the day, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website or by calling the toll free number on this website. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.

We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a good chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us at info@albertafoodtours.ca to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.

All gratuities to our vendor partners have been taken care of in the price of your ticket. Gratuities for your guide are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations. Our guides will point out these important “comfort stops” as the tour progresses.

The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. For tours in winter months, rest assured we’ve planned them so the walk is a short distance between establishments and we’ll spend most of our time cozied up inside. Do check the weather conditions on the day of your tour and dress appropriately – rain gear, toques, mitts, scarves and layers!

Not all of our locations are wheelchair accessible. Please check with our operations manager before booking by emailing info@albertafoodtours.ca

With advance notice and additional fees, we may be able to offer tours in other languages. Please ask by emailing info@albertafoodtours.ca

Yes – we absolutely do! We can accommodate a variety of special requests (family reunions, birthday parties, gourmet and book club outings, bridal party celebrations, corporate team building or small office parties, convention activities, spousal programs, festival add-ons and more).

Bring your camera. We love social media and encourage you to share your experience. We provide plenty of fluids on the tours but if you get very thirsty you may want to bring your own water bottle. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons it’s important to layer your clothing and consider bringing gloves, hat and a scarf as Calgary’s weather can change from moment to moment and we tour in all weather.
